The software is almost identical to the one shipped on the Edimax Cd supplied with the card, however the drivers may be slightly more up to date. Or at least I hope.

If you are a typical consumer then download the Edimax drivers. Software is easy to use, and you can use "Zero config" which is basically using windows to dot he job: On the Mac side, it is slightly annoying that this 'wireless' connection is not based on Airport, so all the Airport wireless signal and configuration is not fdimax.
Would recommend to all. It also supports the new 'N' technology when used with 'N' technology router and super fast broadband. Get fast erimax from reviewers. To get the best out of this, go to Ratlink and download the RT driver and install it without using the one provided in the CD.

If your looking for a good network card at a good price I would highly recommend this one. Edimax's website was a bit crap to get the latest drivers - I had to view the source of the page to be able to find out the download URL, as their website didn't seem to work properly.
Whilst all the bugs had been ironed out in earlier drivers I did notice some improvements with the latest drivers.
